Mathematics

Summary

In my quest to understand certain things about Physics, I inevitably stumbled over my old nemisis: Math. Although it's admittedly, never been my strongest subject; it crops up a lot when studying Physics. This section of the website contains mathematical concepts and information pretty much as my studies lead me to them.

Therefore; Chaos and Fractals math is in here a lot, as I'm finding it integral to understanding certain ideas in Physics, and possible to draw references from it more than any other math. Fundamental mathematical concepts are in here as well, since I've had to revisit them to understand other things. For example, there's a lot in here about euclidian geometry and so forth; so that we can see the difference between that and fractal geometry. There's stuff in here about Infinity (also tying in with Fractals), because it casts a better reflection of the nature of the universe than does a linear scale. There are also explanations and descriptions of any mathematical formulas used in the Physics topics on this website.

Finally, just like in the Physics section; there are short biographies of the major contributors to these mathematical concepts. I think more insight can be had by knowing about the contributing mind of any concept - and their circumstances - than by overlooking it. At the very least, it can provide us with a place to look when trying to understand more.
